This is such a great trip that we are going to do it several times this year. Rich Mampe is leading a group of his followers there in March, Mike will be leading the August trip, and Jeff Smith will be leading a group towards the end of the year. We each have a number of people who travel with us regularly but are always happy to have some new travellers along with us. Truk is a neat place where Allied Forces sunk over 50 Japanese ships during Operation Hailstone in August, 1944. Truk had been a large supply and repair depot for the Japanese as well as an airbase. It stood in the path of our trek towards the Phillipines and had to be dealt with before an invasion of the Phillipines could take place. That is what Operation Hailstone accomplished. From there we will head on to Palau. I always considered Palau to be the prettiest place above and below the water. Great divin and great scenery. Places like Blue Hole Corner and Jellyfish Lake are fabulous dives. You'll see huge schools of barracuda, sharks, and Napolean Wrasses at Blue Hole Corner or a million jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake. Then add on the stopover in Yap and dive with the manta rays. They are 12 to 13-foot across and will swim right up to you. It is an incredible experience. The trips will follow slightly different itineraries so contact us for details on the trip that fits your schedule. Details of each trip will be posted as we develop them. * Indicates Approximate price. It is important to remember that all prices are based on double occupancy and on current airfares. Unfortunately airfares can change up until we actually purchase the tickets. (Then, of course, the airlines charge a penalty for any changes, if they allow changes). This is usually not a problem, but it can happen. Also please note that if you are signing up alone, we will try to line up a roommate for you, however, if we cannot there will be an additional charge for a single supplement. Again, this is not something under our control and we must pass this charge along.
