Curacao - for a preview of Curacao’s reefs, you need only stroll through the historic district of Willemstad, where colonial-era buildings display cheerful shades of orange, yellow, and red. These same vibrant colors are mirrored in the prolific groves of soft corals and sponges that cover the island’s underwater plateaus and submerged slopes.
Underwater adventures come in all forms, whether making a shore dive on memorable sites such as Porto Marie or Alice in Wonderland, riding the currents at Watamula, or venturing out to the deserted island of Klein Curacao to discover pristine reefs. Not to be missed are the iconic coral formations of Mushroom Forest, or a snorkel trip into the shadows of the Blue Room grotto. Director’s Bay holds cryptic prizes such as seahorses, frogfish, and flamingo tongues, while Divers Lead delivers wall-diving drama. Vibrant sprays of multi-hued sponges adorn many dive sites on Curacao. A perennial favorite shallow dive is the tugboat wreck in Caracas Bay.

The Revillagigedos Islands are a group of four volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean known for their unique ecosystem. The islands are home to many endemic plant and animal species and are sometimes called Mexico’s “little Galapagos”. Socorro island is the most diverse in flora, fauna, and topography. Approximately 9 miles wide, Socorro island and it’s surrounding waters have become synonymous with liveaboard diving cruises and are a spectacular magnet for the largest ocean pelagic animals in the world. Schooling hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, dolphins, silky sharks, Galapagos sharks, clouds of jacks and barracuda, tuna, wahoo, oceanic white tip sharks, shale sharks, and mantas. Mantas are the claim to fame for Socorro Islands. The magical dive site called “the Boiler” is a submerged sea mount and cleaning station. More than a half dozen Mantas frequent this pinnacle regularly. Humpback whales visit during the winter months of January through April. We are going during humpback whale season.

Join us on our 12th Annual Ladies only dive vacation to beautiful Aruba. Aruba is an island and a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea, located about 1,600 kilometers west of the main part of the Lesser Antilles and 29 kilometers north of the coast of Venezuela. It measures 32 kilometers long from its northwestern to its southeastern end and 10 kilometers across at its widest point. Together with Bonaire and Curaçao, Aruba forms a group referred to as the ABC islands. Collectively, Aruba and the other Dutch islands in the Caribbean are often called the Dutch Caribbean.
We will be staying at the Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort. Newly renovated in 2017, this oceanside resort is located near the beach and is perfect for your Aruba vacation. Nestled in a lush, tropical garden surrounded with freshwater pools, Divi Dutch Village Resort is a serene, all-suite resort in the Divi Aruba collection. While located right in the heart of lively Aruba, their oversized suites, convenient amenities, and quiet escapes offer the perfect place for all generations to relax. Just a few steps down a lovely garden path will bring you to gorgeous Druif Beach where you can enjoy the beach and swim in the turquois water. Other fun activities include: pool games, golf, tennis, snorkeling, and entertainment at this resort or one of the three Divi Family resorts located a short distance from Dutch Village.
Aruba, along with Bonaire and Curacao, are often called the ABC Islands. These are the three western-most islands of the leeward Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, and are just north of Venezuela. Tourism is the major industry of Aruba and Scuba Diving is a major portion of that industry. In Aruba, you can dive on natural reefs, shipwrecks, and artificial reefs. In fact, some of the best dive sites in Aruba are shipwrecks, which either went down as the result of accidents, or were placed there as part of an artificial reef program. The SS Antilla is known as one of the best shipwreck dives in the Caribbean. The ship was a German cargo that sailed between the Caribbean and Europe. The captain scuttle the ship to avoid capture when he found himself in the wrong place, Dutch Aruba, at the wrong time, meaning when Germany invaded Holland. The ship was scuttle in shallow water, just 45 feet. Part of the ship is just below the surface. this site is also great for snorkeling. You will also find plenty of stunning wall dives as well.
Aruba enjoys consistently good weather year-round with only two seasons. The best time to dive in Aruba is during the dry season, which starts in April and continues till November. The calmest sea conditions are found from April to June.

The Philippines are situated in the northern part of the so-called Coral Triangle, which has the largest biodiversity in the world. Imagine diving the spectacular hard coral reefs of Apo Island, muck diving with lots of macro critters like ornate pipe fish, flamboyant cuttle fish, nudibranchs and mantis shrimp as well as snorkeling with whale sharks and diving with thresher sharks all in one trip! The S/Y Philippines Siren is a sail boat liveaboard and circumnavigates the island of Cebu on this trip. The cruise visits the Visayas as well as Malapascua Island. Join Jeff and Ada as they go back to the Philippines for more incredible diving, but this time combined with whale shark snorkeling and some really spectacular dives with thresher sharks!
In a divers mind, Malapascua is often directly linked with thresher shark encounters. This is one of the few dive spots in the World where the shy pelagic thresher sharks may be seen on a daily basis. Divers rest at about 90ft on the sandy bottom to watch the sharks approach and be cleaned. Other visitors to the shoal include manta, devil and eagle rays. Diving with Nitrox is recommended to enjoy extended bottom time. But there is more to Malapascua then just the threshers, especially when it is combined with the delights that the Visayas have to offer.
The 40 metre S/Y Philippine Siren luxury diving liveaboard was designed and built using lessons learned from their first yacht and has been modified to better suit the growing needs of their guests. The 8 cabins are all situated forward of the engine room with 2 fixed double bed cabins located at the bow and 6 twin cabins which can be converted from twins to double should guests require. The outdoor dining area offers a superb setting for all your meals, with comfortable bench seating set in a semi-circular shape. The dive deck is likely to be one of the most spacious you will ever see, except for on other Siren Fleet yachts!
The Philippine Siren has designated indoor and outdoor work stations for charging, preparation and maintenance of your camera and video equipment. Large storage drawers for your peripheral items are available as well as numerous charging points with adapters available. They also have large rinse tanks with fresh water solely for camera and video equipment. .

Join Eric Richards on a week adventure to the island of Cayman Brac!!
Cayman Brac is one of three Cayman Islands, and a sister island to Grand Cayman and smaller, nearby neighbor, Little Cayman. The island is roughly 14 square miles—approximately 12 miles long and 1.2 miles wide. It was named for the 140-foot bluff (called a brac”) at the western tip. This bluff is pictured on the $1 bill of the Cayman Islands. Queen Elizabeth II is on the opposite side.
The reefs and dive sites around Cayman Brac are largely very healthy with abundant marine life due to the island’s population and relatively small number of diver visitors each year. It’s sites include sheer walls, nice swim-throughs, beautiful reefs, and two wrecks to explore—all taking place in seas with minimal currents and unlimited visibility.
The island’s lush green areas and marshes provide homes to many beautiful birds. Marked trails lend to exploring the island’s natural beauty, including hiking up to the lighthouse. Most roads are flat and have little traffic, so the island is easy for biking. Cayman Islands are a British territory and although the Cayman dollar is the official currency, the US Dollar is widely accepted.
Diving with Reef Divers provides personalized valet dive services, they take all the work out of your diving by handling the heavy lifting and care of your boat dive gear, from your first dive through your last dive (unless you prefer to do it yourself). Cayman Island diving is mostly current-free, which is optimal for new divers, divers who want to move at their own pace, and underwater photographers who may want to spend their entire dive at one location waiting for the perfect shot.

SABA is a volcanic island !
Saba is a Caribbean island which is the smallest special municipality of the Netherlands. It consists largely of the potentially active volcano Mount Scenery, at 887 metres the highest point of the entire Netherlands. Saba has a land area of 13 square kilometres. As of January 2013, the population was 1,991 inhabitants, with a population density of 150 inhabitants per square kilometre. Its towns and major settlements are The Bottom, Windwardside, Hell's Gate and St. Johns.
The island of Saba rises majestically from her clear azure waters, stretching her summit to caress the clouds... She is like no other Caribbean destination. Untouched by the quickening pace of the modern world, an island caught within a moment.... and the moment within which she's captured you ask? The old Caribbean; safe, friendly and charming with exquisite natural beauty both above and below her waterline. Saba is a five square mile island located at Latitude - 17.38 North ~ Longitude - 63.13 West in the northeastern Caribbean Sea, 28 miles southwest of its international hub the island of St. Maarten.
Saba plunges below the sea as steeply as she rises above. From shallow patch reefs to deep underwater seamounts, Saba offers sites suitable for any diver’s level of experience.
Past volcanic activity has created spectacular formations and structures. Underwater lava flows and hot springs are the most obvious evidence of Saba’s volcanic origins.
The reefs are populated with schools of tropical fish and healthy coral. Sheer close-to-shore walls are covered with sponges of all sizes and the heavily encrusted deep-water seamounts attract pelagic creatures that are not normally seen by divers. Unusual and exciting sightings are always possible in Saba’s waters including frequent shark encounters.
Saba offers year-round diving with seasonal differences in water temperature and surface conditions. The water temperature varies between 26C and 28C (77F-84F). Visibility ranges from a minimum of 20m (60ft) to virtually unlimited. Swells and heavy rainfall may influence visibility, but typically it clears again very quickly.
Due to the steepness of the coastal zone, shore diving is virtually impossible. Therefore all diving must be with one of Saba’s licensed dive centers. Their expertise contributes to a safe, convenient, and informative diving experience.
In addition to the creatures described above, you may be fortunate enough to spend time with some regular visitors to Saba. These include Hammerhead and Whale Sharks, Manta and Spotted Eagle Rays, Longsnout Seahorses and Frog Fish. During winter months, you can sometimes hear whales singing to each other or you may even see them breaching.

The Galapagos islands are situated on the equator over 500 miles off the coast of Ecuador (of which they are a province). The islands are volcanic and their distance to the main land gave species the option to evolve far away from similar species on the main land of South America. The islands are on at the crossroads of three different currents bringing in lots of nutrients and with that lots of marine animal life! The waters surrounding the islands of Wolf and Darwin are considered two of the best dive sites in the world! Diving near Wolf means seeing large pelagics, like hammerheads, white tips and Galapagos sharks. You’ll also keep an eye out for red-lipped bat fish, barracuda, moray eels and dolphins.
At Darwin we will be diving “Darwin’s Arch”, an amazing drift dive along the wall at only about 30 ft. Medium to strong currents can be expected, but bring hammerheads, black tips, silky sharks and Galapagos sharks in large numbers! Schools of jacks are common here, along with turtles, angelfish and moray eels.
On the northwest point of Fernandina island we will be diving with marine iguanas (!), the only iguanas in the world that go in the ocean to feed on algae. But there is more to see, sea lions, fur seals and penguins inhabit the same waters around Fernandina island. Off of Isabela island we may be able to spot the elusive Mola Mola (sunfish). The shallow reef on the west side of Isabela island will give us the opportunity to see smaller animals, like frogfish, octopus, nudibranchs and flatworms. Cousin’s rock at Santiago island is formed of coral covered rock and lava flow. Here, corals and sponges encrust ledges and overhangs and shelter more small critters, like hawkfish, nudibranchs and seahorses. Off the wall you may see giant manta rays, mobula rays, and hammerhead sharks and as you ascent to the top of the wall you can end your dive playing with sea lions at only 10 ft below the surface!
We have chosen the warmer season with the higher water temperatures which means we will be seeing water temperatures ranging from 70-86 F. This is the season for sightings of giant manta rays, mobula and cow nose rays along with schooling hammerhead sharks. Suitable thermal protection will be necessary as we will see water temperatures at both extremes of the temperature range. Near Wolf and Darwin the water will be warmer and the more southern islands will have water temperatures in the low 70s. At many sites currents can be strong and visibility may diminish due to currents and influx of nutrients. Therefore, diving in the Galapagos can be challenging, even for the experienced diver, and as such it is highly recommended that divers have training beyond beginner level and a minimum experience of 50 dives, preferably in similar conditions.
Included in your Dive Vacations

Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, opposite Playa del Carmen and close to the Yucatan Channel. Cozumel has some of the best diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean! The island is covered with mangrove forest which has many endemic animal species. Cozumel is a flat island based on limestone. Scuba diving is still one of Cozumel's primary attractions, mainly due to the healthy coral reef marine communities. These coral reefs are protected from the open ocean by the island's natural geography. In 1996, the government of Mexico also established the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, forbidding anyone from touching or removing any marine life within the park boundaries. The main town of San Miguel de Cozumel is home to many restaurants with a huge variety of different cuisines. The main plaza is surrounded by shops, bars, and outdoor stages. In the middle of the plaza is a fixed stage where locals and tourists celebrate every Sunday evening with music and dancing.
