NAUI Advanced SCUBA Diver (Destination Diving)



Enroll in a NAUI Advanced Diver Course to explore new dive sites and undertake exclusive activities under the supervision of a NAUI Instructor. This course allows individuals to learn about specialties and diving activities of particular interest. Your confidence and skill as a diver will increase while you experience the excitement of learning more about the underwater world.

During training, students complete a minimum of six open-water dives, including three separate dives for navigation, night or low visibility diving, and deep diving (130 feet/40 meters of maximum depth), plus three additional dives based on available options. 

6 Dives to Safer, more Comfortable Diving

When you register for the Advanced Diver Course you will automatically receive the NAUI Advanced Diver eLearning; Digital Plus access codes. The Digital Plus eLearning Access Codes will be emailed to you within approx 24hours. You will also recieve both a digital and physical copy of your Certification Card when you complete Certification.

Though you will receive lectures from your Instructor, the completion of this eLearning is required for Certification. Simply follow the registration instructions that come with your access codes and work your way through the training modules.

Underwater World offers an upgrade to the NAUI Advanced Diver eLearning, Premier for only $50. Included in this Premier Education System is the eLearning Access Code, a digital and physical copy of your Certification Card, the NAUI Advanced Diver textbook, and NAUI logbook. This is an excellent option for Students that learn better with a physical book to reference through their training.

Students who elect this upgrade will receive the eLearning Access Codes approx 24hrs after purchase and will receive the additional items in the kit within about 2 business days by mail or you can choose to pick them up at Underwater World.

 

Some Advanced Courses have additional days built into the schedule for more thorough lectures. These lectures will be held at Underwater World on the dates and times that you select for your Advanced Course.

Underwater World also offers condensed Advanced Training. This version of the course will have a dive briefing night at Underwater World prior to the weekend of Open Water Dives.

Included in your Advanced Course is 6 open water dives. In most cases these will be done at either Lake Allure or Willow Springs, approx 1.5hrs West of Underwater World. Your Instructor will reach out to you with more information on where these dives will take place. Particular attention is spent on these training dives on topics such as deep diving, limited visibility/night, dive planning and underwater navigation.

Once your eLearning, written test, and Open Water Dives you will be marked complete and receive your Digital Certification Card within approx 24hrs. Your physical card will be about a week behind but while you wait, you are already Certified. Congratulations!

FAQs

Age: Minimum is 15 years by the water phase of the course. (Junior certification for ages 10-14 years is allowed.

Certification/Experience/Knowledge: Certification as an Open Water SCUBA Diver or actively enrolled in an Open Water SCUBA Diver Course is required.

Equipment: Divers will need thier own personal equipment (mask, fins, and snorkel). Additionally divers are required to have a primary dive light, tank light, dive slate, SMB and 45' finger spool. All life-support equipment and wetsuits rental are included in the course.

Underwater World has no other fees associated with this course. Please keep in mind that entry fees into the dive sites is not inlcuded. Additionally, unless supply allows for more, Underwater World only includes 3 tanks for this course. Though Underwater World will fill them for free, you may elect to get them filled out closer to the Lake at Lancaster SCUBA and this is not included.

Yes! You will be Certified as a NAUI Advanced Diver but your PADI Open Water Certification meets all the prerequisites to take this course

Requirements: Students will need to own or rent mask, snorkel, fins and boots, all other life-support equipment is included. Students will need to own or purchase a primary light, a tank light, a finger spool, surface marker buoy and dive slate.
