Bahamas Aboard the Cat Ppalu, Apr '24

The Exuma Cays are where you will drop anchor for our diving adventures. Because visitors to this part of the Bahamas are limited to dive liveaboards, you’ll find the marine life abundant and this area pristine.

What's the diving like?

The variety of dive sites is unmatched in the Caribbean. Many divers come for the rare chance to swim with the sharks. Still others are fascinated by the coral gardens, delicate fans or interesting colors and shapes of sponges. Get ready to have up close and personal encounters with fish of all sizes from Trevallies to Goliath Grouper.

Bring your camera to snap a photo of an eel, a long-legged lobster or bashful crab. The Bahamas are a special place that create a lifetime filled with great memories. Water temperatures range from the high 70s to low 80s.

Where will you be staying?

Onboard his 65-foot, all-inclusive sailing yacht will serve as your home base during your dive trip around the Exuma Cays of the Bahamas. The Cat Ppalu is a schooner rigged catamaran with space for 12 passengers in 6 cabins. Its sleek styling and 26’ beam design allows this sailboat to maximize the space in guest cabins while giving divers plenty of topside areas to relax and enjoy the magnificent Bahamian scenery.

Cat Ppalu’s low draft enables it to anchor right up on uninhabited islands for further exploring and to enjoy water sports like fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding, all included.

Tips and Info

  • A 3mm -5mm wetsuit is a must in the late Spring. Water temps are in the low 80s but the repetitive diving will cool divers down. A hood is recommended to pack nut not usually needed.
  • Bring a primary and backup dive light for night dives and exploring the small crevices in the reef.
  • Pack an Underwater World Hoodie to stay warm on the cool breezy nights at sea
  • An SMB is always recommended
