What You Will Learn
You will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive. Your Instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing procedures and more. 
We can also integrate your Nitrox training into your Basic SCUBA Diver Course!

Prerequisites
• Age: Minimum of 12 years old
• Certification/Experience/Knowledge: Current enrollment in an Underwater World Basic SCUBA Course or Certification as a NAUI Scuba Diver or the equivalent is required. 

Important Note: The NAUI Nitrox Course is a 2 part course that requires about 30 minutes of practicals at Underwater World. Once divers complete the eLearning, they should contact Underwater World to arrange a time to come in and analyze a tank.

Personal Equipment Specialist Course

Have you ever wondered how your own personal equipment works? Now is your chance to gain in-depth knowledge on your regulator, BC, and dive computer.

During the Personal Equipment Specialist Course, you will learn how to totally tear down your equipment, clean for corrosion, replace the life-limited parts inside, reassemble using manufacturer schematics, and tune it back to the way the manufacturer intended all under the watchful eye of a Master Service Technician. This course will teach you about how your specific equipment functions, some common trouble areas, some basic field repairs that you may find yourself needing, and more! Students will be provided with hard copy schematics for their own equipment and the best part is, it will count towards the annual service requirements for the manufactures warranty.

Prerequisites
• Age: Minimum is 15 years old
• Certification/Experience/Knowledge: Current enrollment in an Underwater World Basic SCUBA Course or Certification as a NAUI SCUBA Diver or the equivalent is required.

All training complies with the latest International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ICOR) standards.

In addition to meeting NAUI requirements for leadership and dive safety, NAUI training is recognized by the US Coast Guard for meeting the requirements for a US Captain’s Licensing. Certification at the professional rescuer level is also required for all active NAUI leaders and instructors and rescue divers. With NAUI first aid training, you are not only among the best trained divers in the world, you will also be among the best prepared to respond in the unlikely event of a diving emergency or accident.

While dry suits were once used almost exclusively for situation such as ice diving or deep wreck diving, many sport divers are now using dry suits regularly for every day recreational dives all over the world. - Correctly initiate and/or supervise rescue/assist procedures.
- Effectively perform in-water rescue/assist techniques and procedures.
- Correctly manage rescue assistants during and after rescues.
- Provide immediate, effective post-rescue aid.
- Correctly manage a diving emergency with adjustments for local variants. Graduates are considered competent to perform assists and rescues in aquatic situations so long as the situation approximates one for which they have been trained.

Would you like to lead dives and dive trips and take certified divers on vacations to the world's best dive sites? Many Divemasters are employed full-time or work independently supervising certified divers during club, store, resort or charter tour and travel activities. As a NAUI Divemaster you enjoy again and again adventures to which you introduce your clients. NAUI Divemaster certification is another option leading to NAUI Instructor qualification.

The NAUI Divemaster rating is the highest NAUI leadership-level certification with the exception of Instructor. The program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to organize and conduct enjoyable open water dives for certified divers.

Prerequisites
Age: Minimum age is 18 years by the water phase of the course.  
Certifications/Skills/Knowledge: Current certification in NAUI First Aid for Dive Professionals or equivalent. Current certification in NAUI Oxygen Provider or equivalent. What You Will Learn

The NAUI motto is "Dive Safety through Education," and the Rescue SCUBA Diver course will increase your safety skills from what you already learned as a NAUI SCUBA Diver. The Rescue SCUBA Diver course is designed to equip certified divers with additional self-rescue skills and to enable them to effectively intervene if their dive buddy experiences problems while diving. 

What You Will Learn
You will learn how to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies, how to assist and transport divers, and how to perform surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat and shores based skin and SCUBA divers.

All training complies with the latest International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ICOR) standards.

In addition to meeting NAUI requirements for leadership and dive safety, NAUI training is recognized by the US Coast Guard for meeting the requirements for a US Captain’s Licensing. Certification at the professional rescuer level is also required for all active NAUI leaders and instructors and rescue divers. Hollis Explorer Rebreather Diver

The Hollis Explorer is truly designed as a recreational Rebreather. The Explorer is an intelligent hybrid that utilizes the best aspects from closed-circuit  and semi-closed circuit rebreathers. It is very compact, only 40 pounds, and extremely easy to use. Certified Rebreather divers will benefit from breathing warm, humid, gas (no dry mouth), bottom times of up to 2.5hrs, and incredible Marine Life interactions as there are very few bubbles. 


What You Will Learn
During your training, you will spend the first night in a swimming pool, learning how to set up the Explorer and get comfortable with the unit. The following 2 days you can expect to complete a total of at least 4 open water dives, of a minimum of 45 minutes each. Age: Minimum of 18 years old.
Certification/Experience/Knowledge: Certification as a NAUI SCUBA Diver or the equivalent and a NAUI Nitrox Diver or the equivalent is required to complete the course.

July 16, 2016; 9:00a - 4:00p @ Dutch Springs
July 17, 2016; 9:00a - 4:00p @ Dutch Springs 

Cost: $900.00*; includes the use of an Explorer Rebreather during the course. 
*Does not include expendables such as Nitrox fills and scrubber (estimate cost $150)
