Rescue SCUBA Diver is a hands-on course. You'll practice a variety of techniques for assisting divers at the surface and underwater and learn how to adapt those techniques to different situations.
Training includes diver assists, transports, surface rescues, rescues from depth, and responding to both responsive and unresponsive divers.
The goal is not simply to memorize individual rescue skills. You'll learn to assess the situation, determine an appropriate response, and adjust your actions as conditions change.
Current CPR/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications are required for Rescue SCUBA Diver training.
Underwater World offers DAN Basic Life Support and Emergency Oxygen training separately or together as a combined program for divers who need to complete or renew these requirements.
Rescue training changes the way many divers approach a dive. You'll develop greater awareness of your buddy, the dive team, and the surrounding environment while improving your own problem-solving and decision-making skills.
